Job Requirements for West Chester

As an AquaMobile swim instructor in West Chester, you will need:

  • Up to date First AId & CPR certification: Two-year American Red Cross certification from a local provider such as Chester County Hospital or West Chester University.
  • Swim Instructor/Lifeguard certifcation: Pass the American Red Cross practical and written exams to get your two-year certification. Courses are available at the YMCA of Greater Brandywine and ACAC West Chester.
  • Access to reliable transportation: Southeastern Pennsylvania Transporation Authority (bus system with three routes throughout West Chester and connections to Prussia, Exton, Downington and Coatesville), Uber/Lyft (rideshare services), cab (OnTime Car Services, Rapid Limo LLC, etc.), personal car
  • Two or more years of swim teaching/coaching and/or lifeguarding experience
  • A love for swimming and a passion for teaching

Applicants who don’t meet the following requirements will still be considered for the role, providing all relevant qualifications/checks are obtained prior to starting.
