Job Requirements for East Hampton
As an AquaMobile swim instructor in East Hampton, you will need:
- Up to date First Aid & CPR certification: Yearly certification from a local American Red Cross provider such as Safe and Healthy Education or CPR Classes East End.
- Swim Instructor/Lifeguard certification: Pass the American Red Cross practical and written exams with at least 80% to get a valid certification. Classes are available at the YMCA East Hampton or your local beaches.
- Access to reliable transportation: Suffolk County Buses (regional bus service that goes through and makes stops in all Suffolk County towns), Long Island Railroad (commuter train service that operates 735 daily trains serving East Hampton and metro New York), Uber/Lyft (rideshare services), cab (Ted’s Taxi East Hampton, Carolos Taxi Easthampton NY, etc.), personal car
- Two or more years of swim teaching/coaching and/or lifeguarding experience
- A love for swimming and a passion for teaching
